It is what it is... The Passing of a loved one of mine... My Dear old man of 48 years old died suddenly of an inexplicable Heart Attack last Monday at 2:00pm in the Local Hospital.

A goddamn inexplicable HEART ATTACK....

I shit you not

The man was 48 years old, Healthy as a horse, played Hockey everyday, devoted his time to playing Music at Local restaurants and had no history of heart disease or ANY health problems to speak of aside from a operation some 10 years ago. I'll spare the details of that certain operation.

But the fact of the matter is, my Father's life was taken very suddenly and there is very little closure as to why it happened...

It simply made no sense.

There he was on his break from work and from 11:00 to about 1:30 he played Hockey until he started to feel weak in the chest, so he got off the ice and went into the changing room where he collapsed... The paramedics arrived and had a weak pulse but it didn't get any better... He died en route to the hospital where nurses and doctors worked on him, but by 2:02 they called it.

come about 4:40 I was innocently on my way to work when I get a phone call from my Manager saying the Police were looking for me, that they would be back shortly... Well now this surprised me. I have no criminal record to speak of therefore I was naturally curious.

Now I wished I had done something wrong...

They brought me back and told me what happened.

Brought me to the hospital to show me my dear dead father...

*Sigh*

He was later brought to Halifax for the medical examiner, but not even they had answers.

The Autopsy did not reveal anything wrong with him, they said his heart was healthy as could be, no aneurysms in the brain no blood in the spinal fluid.

The man simply dropped dead....


Yes, we are pissed.

So I spent all of last week off from work to be with the family (mostly my brother) and come funeral time... well, no more tears could have possibly have been shed.

Everyone commented on how strong I was being at the Wake and the funeral. It was simply because I was overwhelmed with Grief that all I could do was try to smile... It's what my father told me to do when the time came, and indeed it did a little too soon. Yes my father and I would often talk in passing about what we should do when his time came. And he told me to be strong for the family and not to mourn the loss of his presence but to remember the good times...


NEEDLESS to say... I probably won't be watching or submitting any Death Note fan art for the time being.

It's just too ...effing... creepy...

Rest in Peace Dear Father, you left this world all too soon

PS. Do me a favor and hug all your parents and tell them how much you love them, I know for some this may be difficult but lets face it, you only have one of each, and just one lifetime.
